Business Publicity Through Teleseminars and Teleconferences

Part 3 -
Teleseminar Marketing Formats

George - As far as the format of these teleseminars that you use to get free publicity and promotion - what has worked best for you?

Dan - Frankly I like doing what we doing now, sort of like talk radio, it’s fun, it’s interactive, you’re asking me question, I’m giving you answers, were going to take questions from the audience pretty soon as well. It’s nice and it’s friendly and allows good interaction and I like its format.

There are other people who do a seminar format and everyone who’s been to any kind industry event, is pretty much used to those. Where one person get up talks for 45 minute, takes some questions and then leave, so there’s nothing wrong with that but frankly I prefer the give and take.

I also like to hear two different voices, even better if there’s a male voice and a female voice so there’s even a greater difference between our relative voices and that just makes more liveliness and entertainment factor and I’m telling they’re very subtle but frankly I rather have the female guest because I’m male, if I’m male, I got to have a female interviewer just to keep it more interesting that way. But there’s no problems having male, male or female, female, but if I had my drudgers that’s what I would do.

George - By the way I will do a little sidebar for you. You know that television news teams are male/female and it’s for exactly that reason. They’d discovered that having two different voices, a male voice and a female and - talk about testing - a lot of research went into this, but every time there is a change in the anchor who’s reading the story, that automatically resets the attention of the person who’s sitting in the living room or wherever they may be sitting watching it and it’s especially pronounced if you have a male voice and a female voice.

It just resets the attention. You make a lot of speeches and presentations, and you know what laughter does in a professional presentation, it resets the attention. It’s like getting everyone’s attention over again. Same thing with different kinds of voices on TV and I think what you just said was same thing on a teleseminar. You have two different kinds of voices and it especially pronounced again with male and female. That resets the attention of the person listening and gets them to listen a little more closely and that’s a good thing right?

Dan - That’s great, exactly, in fact I was writing that down. Reset the attention span cause you know viewers doesn’t have attention span so anything that you can do to make it lively and keep their attention, is great so that’s perfect. I didn’t know that was the reason why but that got things to work well.
